THE CHANGING SITUATION - STEPS 1+2
“Our soul is a house, and when we remember houses, rooms, we learn to dwell within ourselves. You can see this already, the images of the house walk in both directions: they are inside us to the extent that we are inside them.” – Gaston Bechlar, the poetics of space.
When I entered my studio and started to paint what is around me, [mainly what is inside the studio], everything around me began to spin. I began to draw small sketches and examine angles. I realized that I wanted to express the visible but not realistically. I wanted to bring a different point of view. A point of view is taken from several different points in space, which together in one painting create an illusory space.
The result is compressed pictures. pictures that at first glance, clearly show a room /studio. But in fact, on a second and closer look, you can see that it is impossible to grasp in any way, everything is a mirage and for the most part- abstract.
